Hurricane Rita Eyes Texas
I’m going to cut short telling more stories about some of the people I met at the Katrina shelter in McKinney, TX due to the impending Category 5 Hurricane Rita. This storm is stronger than Katrina at the moment with 175 mph sustained winds. I hate to be so focused on hurricanes lately, but it cannot and should not be ignored.
Briefly, I can report the last resident moved out of that Katrina shelter Monday night. Remarkable that all of the evacuees there found a place to live so quickly! Great news. I pray that they won’t need to re-open it for Rita.
I have good friends in Texas directly in the path of this hurricane who were able to evacuate today. Please pray for the residents of the Gulf Coast areas of Texas and western Louisiana that they be able to evacuate in time.
As with Katrina, I am devoting space on my site for information regarding Hurricane Rita.
